Event Sales & Design Specialist

Posted: 02/27/2026

Rock The House (RTH) is a national audio-visual & entertainment live event company, market segments include corporate, political, music festivals, high-end social events (bar and bat mitzvahs),  brand activations, and higher education programming. This role will be focused to start in mitzvahs, corporate, non profit and higher education.

We’re looking for a client-facing, relationship-driven professional to grow into the live events industry—not a traditional salesperson. This role is designed to be mentored by senior sales leadership as you learn the role and products.

This is a mentored growth role for candidates from hospitality, higher education, events, theatre, or creative backgrounds.

Role Overview:

Phase One: Learn, Build & Support (0–8 / 12 months)

You will work alongside senior leadership, creative, and production teams to learn how premium, AV-driven events are designed and delivered.

You will:

  • Participate in client meetings and venue walk-throughs
  • Develop prospective relationships with planners, agencies, venues, and institutional partners
  • Support outreach to new clients, campuses, and event partners
  • Assist with proposals, visual concepts, follow-ups, and CRM tracking
  • Learn to translate client goals into audiovisual and entertainment-focused event experiences
  • Build working knowledge of audio, lighting, video, staging, and show flow (beyond the basics)
  • Be onsite at events to support execution and client experience

Phase Two: Grow Into Relationship Ownership

As your experience grows, you’ll begin to:

  • Manage select client, campus, and institutional relationships
  • Serve as a primary contact for repeat clients and partners
  • Grow a client base through relationships—not cold sales
  • Earn performance-based incentives as responsibility increases

Event Focus Areas:

  • High-end social events (bar & bat mitzvahs)
  • Corporate events and brand activations
  • Higher education events, including campus activity boards, Greek life, and institutional programming

RTH is a national company. This role begins in Northeast Ohio and expands geographically as relationships grow.

Ideal Background:

  • 2–4 years in hospitality, events, higher education, marketing, theatre, or related fields
  • Experience with event planning, campus or community programming, student organizations, or Greek life is a plus
  • Comfortable building relationships and representing a premium brand
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Eye for design; Canva experience required
  • Understanding of audio-visual and lighting concepts, or the ability to learn beyond the basics
  • Valid driver’s license; flexible schedule
