Summa Pride Clinic - Clinical Psychologist
Summa Health is seeking a clinical/counseling psychologist with expertise and interest in the assessment, treatment and culturally competent care of our LGBTQ+ patients. The selected candidate will be located at our Pride Clinic in Akron, OH. The Pride Clinic opened in 2019 and moved into a newly renovated office with expanded services in early 2025. We are seeking a provider who showcases their passion and authenticity for this community.
We provide high-quality, compassionate care for all patients regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We understand that the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ+) community has unique health needs and deserves equal, respectful and knowledgeable care.
Our current services offered are gender affirming care, (i.e. hormone therapy, etc) Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV (PrEP), and general Primary Care. We also have GYN and urology providers rotating through the office as well as a LISW.
Starting in 2025 with the expansion, we are looking to add additional primary care, a psychologist, increased urology and GYN services, pastoral services and more.
The clinic also provides education internally and externally by offering an annual LGBTQ+ Healthcare Summit, Rainbow Tours and more.

Candidate Requirements
- Doctorate degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited program
- License to practice in Ohio or willingness to obtain
- Eligible candidates will have experience in assessment, care and treatment of the LGBTQ+ community and its consequences
- Willingness to complete training specific to the LGBTQ+ community, including WPATH
- Experience with trauma, ADHD, depression, anxiety preferred
