Pride Clinic Primary Care Physician (IM/FM)
Summa Health is seeking a primary care physician to join our growing LGBTQ+ Pride Clinic. We are seeking someone with experience and interest providing culturally competent care to our LGBTQ+ patients. The selected candidate will be located at our Pride Clinic in Akron, OH. The Pride Clinic opened in 2019 and moved into a newly renovated office with expanded services in early 2025. We are seeking a provider who showcases their passion and authenticity for this community.
We provide high-quality, compassionate care for all patients regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We understand that the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ+) community has unique health needs and deserves equal, respectful and knowledgeable care.
Our current services offered are adult gender affirming care, (i.e. hormone therapy, etc) Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV (PrEP), and general Primary Care. We also have GYN and urology providers rotating through the office as well as a LISW.
Starting in 2025 with the expansion, we are looking to add additional primary care, a psychologist, increased urology and GYN services, pastoral services and more.
The clinic also provides education internally and externally by offering an annual LGBTQ+ Healthcare Summit, Rainbow Tours and more.

- Board certified/eligible in internal medicine or family medicine
- Unrestricted Ohio license or willingness to obtain
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to quality care in a patient centered, population health driven environment
- Eligible candidates will have experience in and passion for caring for LGBTQ+ community
- Willingness to complete training specific to the LGBTQ+ community, including WPATH
