Title: Digital Marketing Coordinator

Direct Report: Manager of Communications

 

Summary: 

Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing digital marketing campaigns that support the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. This role requires a strong understanding of digital marketing channels and strategies, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.

 

Who We Are:

The Greater Cleveland Sports Commission (GCSC) serves to measurably improve the economy of Greater Cleveland and enrich the community by attracting, creating, managing and enhancing significant sporting and competitive events. GCSC supports the local economy, utilizes sports as a vehicle to forward important community agendas and maintains a goal of producing events that are more successful in Cleveland than in other cities. Since 2000, GCSC has been responsible for hosting over 260 sporting events, generating more than $1B in economic activity in Northeast Ohio. 

 

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns: 

    • Plan and implement campaigns across various channels, including social media, email, search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and content marketing.

    • Manage various social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, etc.; creating engaging content and fostering online communities. 

    • Develop, manage and optimize content for the GCSC website and landing pages, ensuring a consistent brand voice and user experience. 

    • Create and send email newsletters and promotional materials to build relationships and drive engagement, including list segmentation and automation. 

    • Develop and execute paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Google Ads and social media.

  • Track and analyze campaign performance: 

    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all digital marketing activities.

    • Analyze data and generate reports to measure campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

    • Use analytics tools like Google Analytics to track website traffic, user behavior, and conversions.

  • Work closely with other departments within the organization, as well as external partners, to align digital marketing efforts with overall marketing strategy.

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (communications, marketing, public relations preferred)

  • A combination of brand management, social media strategy & execution, event planning, and communications experience. 

  • Experience managing social media accounts or two years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, and Meta Ads.

  • Experience with editing photos and/or video for social media such as Adobe InDesign, Canva, and other graphic tools. 

  • Proven understanding of digital marketing.

  • Strong digital copywriting skills.

Position Information: 

  • Position is full-time salaried (exempt)

  • Includes health, vision, dental, disability and 401k benefits plus paid sick and vacation time  

  • Position is based in Cleveland, Ohio 

  • Position requires flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.
