Job Summary

The Financial Systems Professional, working under direct supervision, is responsible for supporting the efficient and effective utilization of financial systems to meet the organization's financial reporting, analysis, and operational needs. This role contributes to the design, implementation, and maintenance of financial data governance and strategy, working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and align system capabilities with business requirements. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as finance, Data, Audit, IT, and Operations, The responsibilities encompass master data management configuration, customization, and administration, and to oversee data integration processes, ensuring the seamless flow of information between different systems and modules.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Executes and supports finance data governance strategies, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and security of financial data within the systems.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather and prioritize changes to master data, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
  • Collects and monitors finance data governance metrics and performance.
  • Fosters a culture of data responsibility and accountability within the finance team, encouraging continuous improvement and innovation. 
  • Supports the integration of various financial systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and efficient processes.
  • Provides advanced system training and support to end-users, acting as a subject matter expert for data management system functionalities and troubleshooting.
  • Acts as a liaison between the finance department and IT teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Participates in applicable system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, collaborating with IT teams and vendors to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to financial operations.

 

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in Finance, Information Systems or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, IT or a related field and/or commensurate experience.
