The Vice President of DEI and Community Investments is responsible for providing leadership, strategic vision, and oversight of the Westfield Foundation and workplace initiatives that support DEI & community investment objectives. The role works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to drive progress in creating an inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplace culture and positively impact the community through strategic investments. The role manages a team of professionals who drive initiatives and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, enabling business units and external partners to position the organization as an employer of choice and a responsible corporate citizen.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior leadership team to establish DEI goals and objectives and develop a comprehensive DEI strategy that spans the enterprise (customer, agents/brokers, suppliers, community, and employee).

Partner with the Westfield Foundation board to establish the vision and align community investment actions with key giving areas that will positively impact our brand positioning in the marketplace.

Lead the corporate foundation, ensuring effective management, compliance with all legal and financial regulations, and executing philanthropic initiatives that enhance Westfield’s community impact and maintain its good standing with stakeholders.

Partners with HR, Talent Acquisition, and other business units to develop and implement programs that enhance diversity in the workplace and support the recruitment and retention of diverse talent.

Build awareness and communications around DEI and Community Investments to support an inclusive and equitable work environment and promote a positive employee experience.

Lead, develop, and implement policies and practices that promote DEI throughout the organization, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Engage with external organizations and community groups to provide opportunities for employees and business partners to give back to their communities and support positive brand recognition in the markets in which we operate.

Establish and maintain metrics and reporting mechanisms to track progress against goals and objectives and regularly report on progress to senior leadership.

Lead DEI stakeholder groups, including DEI Action Team, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), and Inclusion Council, to drive DEI outcomes.

Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert on DEI issues and advise senior leadership and other stakeholders on best practices and emerging trends.

Engage and build relationships with external DEI and philanthropic organizations, industry groups, and community partners to champion diversity, inclusion, and corporate citizenship.

Foster a culture of accountability for DEI, ensuring that all employees are responsible for promoting and supporting DEI initiatives and that they are integrated into the organization's fabric.

Owns accountability for talent management and navigation of employee-related issues that impact morale and work environment to ensure a high-performing team, including hiring and selection, succession planning, performance and compensation management, and employee development and career coaching as required. Manages priorities and workload distribution and removes barriers that impede progress.
Qualifications
-
15+ years of overall experience in Corporate Responsibility, Community Engagement, and Diversity and Inclusion.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or a related field or commensurate experience.

Master’s degree is preferred.
Location
Hybrid defined as three or more days per week in the office.
