Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator is a critical member of the HR team who owns the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll as well as operations, compliance, and administration. Additional responsibilities include administrative HR functions, policy review and drafting, serving as a liaison for employee questions, and coordinating HR-related events within FIT.?????
 

Key Responsibilities

· Own the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll, including bonuses, garnishments, benefit deductions, 401(k) changes, PTO reconciliation, ensuring 100% payroll accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines.

· Reconcile payroll for leadership and Finance review, maintain audit-ready documentation.

· Conduct audits of payroll, payroll tax activity, benefits, and wellness program, proactively identifying discrepancies and reporting findings to HR leadership.

· Administer health and welfare benefit plans, including enrollments, life events, dependent verification, and ongoing employee support.

· Serve as liaison with insurance providers and respond to employee questions regarding benefits, policies, and HR processes.

· Participate in New Hire Orientation and independently lead Benefits Orientation sessions.

· Audit and ensure completion of employee onboarding, offboarding, training, compliance requirements, and internal employment changes.

· Process internal employee changes (promotions, transfers) and maintain accurate HRIS records and documentation.

· Reconcile and process benefit invoices and other HR-related financial documentation.

· Provide administrative support to ensure efficient HR operations, including reporting, record-keeping, and special projects or events.

· Cross-train to support onboarding and offboarding administration and assist with additional duties as needed.

 

Required Qualifications

· Minimum 2 years HR and payroll processing experience

· High attention to detail

· Comfort with financial data

· Ability to draft clear and professional communications to publish to the organization

· Ability to manage competing administrative priorities

· Approachable and confident communicator

· Strong Excel skills including report generation, data analysis, error identification, and creation of clear summaries using PivotTables, lookup functions, formulas, and structured formatting

Preferred Qualifications

· ADP Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field

· SHRM-CP

 

Working Conditions + Physical Requirements

This position primarily operates in a professional office environment. Regular, in-person attendance at FIT Technologies Headquarters during standard business hours is required to perform the essential function of this role. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, and participating in in-person meetings. Specific scheduling expectations will be determined by leadership based on business needs. Occasional evening and weekend work to support meetings, events, or deadlines, occasional work weeks of more than 40 hours.
