Full-time/ $37,500

Position Information:

The Finance Associate is a member of the Finance Team and is responsible for the efficient delivery of data entry and basic financial processes. The finance associate will be tasked with regularly entering data and coding expenses for the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland, pulling reports for staff and leadership and provide support and back-up to the Finance Director as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Coding incoming bills and invoices following Center accounting processes

· Data entry in bookkeeping software (QuickBooks).

· Generate/pull financial reports for Finance Team and Center Leadership.

· Assist with grant expense tracking and coding.

· Update vendor records to ensure database integrity. Complete all data entry timely and accurately.

· Maintain regular communication with the Center’s bookkeepers and accountants.

· Following up with other team members for documentation and information gathering needs.

· Assist with preparation of banking deposits and cash handling for events.

· Assist with point of sales training and troubleshooting for Front Desk and events.

· Assist Director of Finance with day-to-day tasks in support of the Finance Department.

· Attending monthly Finance Committee Meetings.

· Running financial errands.

· Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience Requirements:

· The ideal candidate will have relevant work or volunteer experience in bookkeeping, finance, or cash handling.

· This position requires a high-level of attention to detail.

· Experience with data entry.

Qualifications:

· Demonstrated attention to detail

· Knowledge of basic math and accounting

· Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks preferred. Experience working with bookkeeping software is required.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word and Excel.
