Darby Hickey graduated with her Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University of Law, where she served as a Senator for the Student Bar Association. During her law school career, Darby worked at the Northern District of Ohio Federal Public Defender in the Capital Habeas unit and at Cuyahoga County Law Department.  

Darby is an active member of the legal community. She is a member of the William K. Thomas Inn of Court, the Northern District of Ohio Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s Estate Planning and Trust Law section, and the CMBA Women in Law section, the Ohio State Bar Association’s Elder and Special Needs Law sections, and the OSBA Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate section.

Darby is committed to serving the community with their estate planning and probate related issues. 

Laurel Parkins-Turner a graduate of the University of Akron with a Bachelor’s in Sociology and a Master’s in Social Work. Serving the client and community is a longtime passion of hers. She has been an active advocate both during her education and after. Her focus has been improving the quality of life for people in the LGBTQ+ community by supporting and urging the need for accessible local and state community resources. 

She has worked in non-profit and for profit organizations alike, as a manager, program coordinator, coach, and role model. She has found a home working at Matt Rolf Attorney LLC, as his legal assistant for 5 years. The firm provides a safe and accepting environment for vulnerable and underrepresented communities. Where social work meets law, Matt and Laurel work together to secure a positive future for these communities.

Matt Rolf is a real estate lawyer with interests in equitable urban planning and transit oriented development. He passed the bar in 2002. Matt opened his own law firm in 2013 in his hometown of Chardon, before moving it to Shaker Square. He has been a Cleveland Metropolitan Bas Association member since 2013.

In 2016, Matt created and hosted a land use forum called “Making Space for Community. ” The forum brought together urban designers, NGO representatives, and City of Chardon administrators and council members to discuss urban planning concepts. The forum discussed Lincoln Land Institute’s Making Sense of Place series, and PBS’s “10 Parks and Towns that Changed America.” 

Matt has an interest in reforming Ohio’s land use regulatory policies.  He has researched and written on the impact of zoning and land use on LGBT+ families and racial segregation.
